We also encourage every prospective member to book a 60-minute demonstration with our team. During this session, we’ll walk you through the platform using a real project that you already know the construction cost of. This allows you to test the system’s estimating accuracy, explore the user interface, and see firsthand how the platform performs on real-world projects.
For example, one builder provided us with a project that had an actual construction value of approximately $2.8 million. We completed the estimate in under 30 minutes, and the result was remarkably close to the builder’s final construction cost. This gave them the confidence to move forward with their membership, knowing the platform could deliver accurate, reliable estimating outcomes.

We recently delivered an estimate to one of our members with a total construction value of $717,000 including GST. After reviewing the estimate with their client, the builder ultimately submitted a final construction price of $430,000 including GST.
It’s important to understand that this difference is not a reflection of an inaccurate estimate. Rather, it demonstrates how builders use our estimates as a professional pricing framework and then tailor them to suit their specific project requirements, construction methods, and client expectations.
In this particular case, the builder met directly with the client and worked through the project specification in detail. Together, they revised the scope of works, adjusted finishes and selections, and removed a number of items that were clearly shown on the plans but were no longer required within the client’s budget. Through this collaborative process, the builder was able to reshape the project scope and deliver a construction price that aligned with the client’s financial expectations.
This is exactly how estimating should work. An estimate provides a comprehensive and accurate assessment of the project based on the plans and specifications supplied at the time. It gives builders complete visibility over the true cost of construction and highlights the areas where savings can potentially be achieved.
Without a detailed estimate, builders are often left guessing where costs can be reduced. With a professionally prepared estimate, they can confidently identify opportunities to modify scope, adjust specifications, and work with clients to create a solution that meets both budget and project objectives.
Our role is to provide an accurate and transparent assessment of the project as documented. The builder’s role is to apply their experience, market knowledge, and client relationships to refine that estimate into a final proposal that best suits the individual project. The difference between the estimate value and the final contract value is often a reflection of these commercial decisions—not the quality or accuracy of the estimate itself.
